Products    Iron Alloys
Besides the basic gray iron grades we are modifying these alloys to meet corrosion, erosion and wear requirements.  Machinability is also a prime factor.

Ductile Irons
Along with the standards grades (65-45-12, 80-55-06, 100-70-03, 120-90-02) for the rubber, steel and automotive industries we can produce alloyed grades used in the steel industry for the control of expansion, warpage and oxidization-for corrosion and shock resistance in the petroleum and chemical field and for its excellent castability, flexibility and impact resistance in the electrical industry.

White Irons

Our product is a high carbon martinsitic white iron with exceptional abrasion resistance and significantly higher mechanical properties than low alloy white irons.  It is excellent for use in many applications where low alloys can not be used.  This is one of our finest products with a proven record of performance in steel mills, mines, excavating pits, tar sands, etc. and in applications such as feed chutes, shot blasting machines, vibrating feeders, conveyor lines and crusher bodies.  To meet the requirements of our customers with special applications we have also developed a range of alloyed versions by additions of tungsten, titanium, boron, vanadium and other rare elements.

Steel Alloys

In addition to regular low and medium carbon steel alloys (for machinery, steel, petrochemical industries) we are also producing Tool Steel alloy grades and Corrosion Resistant grades.  These alloys go to the cement, lime, sand blasting, farming industry, and pump industry for oil, water systems, municipal and chemical industries.  Our main steel product is heat-resistant alloy castings.  Here, over 50% of our capacity is used in the manufacture of castings using chrome and nickel.  Cobalt and Nitrogen enriched alloys are produced for applications where extreme alloys are produced for applications where extreme hot strength and oxidization resistance is critical.

Uses for these alloys are numerous, including:  Heat treating furnace parts, gas and oil burner parts, cement and lime cooling grates, riders and rolls for continuous castings furnaces, quenching grates and baskets and high temperature fixtures.

Manganese and Hadfield Steels

The application of these work hardening steels is well understood and clearly documents.  Their use is particular cost-effective in the mining, steel, cement, lime and shot-blasting industries.
